Stage 2
JULY 3rd 2023
IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF THE UCI-WCS 2018
“This stage is all about the great UCI World Championships in 2018. From St. Anton, the cradle of alpine skiing, we head to Innsbruck at highspeed. Some breakaways will be gone in front. In the ascent to Axams, which will be done several times, then probably a first small selection is made with a group in front. Either a small group will fight for victory at the finish or we will see a bunch sprint in front of Innsbruck Congress at the Rennweg, where all races of the WCS 2018 ended”.

TVB Managing Director Martin Ebster: “St. Anton am Arlberg has written history for decades as the cradle of alpine skiing in the field of winter sports. However, with the conception and implementation of the Arlberg Giro, road cycling has gained immense importance for the region. Thanks to the many years of cooperation with the Vorarlberg cycling team and the Tirol Cycling Team, events in this area have been brought closer to us with a lot of know-how and great enthusiasm and have therefore become dear to our hearts. For this reason we are proud and honored to be a partner at the start of the newly developed “Tour of Austria”
