After two thrilling stage finishes in Steyr, we are delighted to be able to bring the Grand Depart to Steyr this year. On Tuesday, July 8th, 2025, all teams will be presented on the main square. The programm will start with music by Stadtkapelle Steyr at 6.30 p.m and will be closing with a bike film festival after the team presentation. The first stage, on Wednesday, July 9th, takes us through the spa town of Bad Hall into the Krems Valley and the Phyrn-Priel region, where the first mountain classification awaits the riders in Vorderstoder with a picturesque backdrop. Then the race follows the Steyr River to Grünburg, where the brutal finale of this stage begins. Four climbs, including the iconic challenge of the Porscheberg, must be overcome before the finish line in Steyr’s town square. Will it come down to a sprint from a decimated field, or perhaps even a soloist can hold on until the finish? The route promises excitement right up to the finish line.
