Stage 3

July 5th 2024

Two major Ski Regions with a lot of heart for cycling

“On the home stage of the WSA KTM GRAZ TEAM from the skiing mecca Schladming to St. Johann/Alpendorf, a small preliminary decision will be made for the overall ranking. The teams of strong climbers will be challenged for the first time on the fourth day – they will position their favorites for the finale up to the ski station of the Snow Space Region St. Johann Alpendorf at the Dientner Sattel. Since then only the queen stage over the Großglockner and the final up to Kühtai are on the program, there is certainly still reason enough for some teams to throw everything into the race again for a break away group. There will be definitely a lot of excitement on the Styria-Salzburg stage and when the day after the tour convoi slowly moves towards the most impressive mountain regions in Austria. Hopefully there will be time to enjoy the beauty of our country every now and then…”

St.Johann Alpendorf

A feel-good oasis in Salzburg. Access to the extensive Snowspace Salzburg ski area. And in summer a hiking area with a great offer of fine hotels.

“With a network of bike and trail paths spanning more than 500 kilometers, the Snow Space Salzburg holiday region is one of the most popular bike hotspots in the Alps. Signs such as the tour stop of the Großglockner royal stage of the Tour of Austria in St. Johann/Alpendorf or the ultimate bike challenge Stoneman Taurista underpin the varied and varied offer for families, mountain and e-bikers as well as racing cyclists in the heart of the Salzburger Land”, praises Wolfgang Hettegger, CEO of Snow Space Salzburg, the cycling advantages of his region.
