A Royal Sprint for the Final
A thrilling sprint finish returns to the Tour of Austria – and this time in Vienna.
The stage starts in Langenlois, celebrating its debut as a host town. From its historic center, the route heads toward Vienna, passing vineyards, short climbs, and the Danube before entering the vibrant capital city.
Although the general classification may already be decided, teams will fight for victory in this prestigious final stage.

A DRIVING FORCE FOR ROAD CYCLING
The fact that the final of Austria’s most important national tour will once again be held on the Vienna Ring Road in front of City Hall in 2026 sends a great signal. Vienna is historic ground for the Tour of Austria; this return is a milestone for Viennese cycling. Given the rapidly growing number of road cyclists in our city, it is essential to showcase top-level sport precisely where the people are. It is particularly motivating for our talented young cyclists from the RLM-Vienna development program to experience the Tour in their own state. Seeing the professionals sprint ‘at home’ creates an invaluable sense of identification. For Viennese athletes, it is an opportunity to present themselves in this prestigious race in front of a home crowd – a driving force for the future of Viennese road cycling.
